Cherry Lane Easter Ramp Session

Cherry Lane On Friday 9th April 2010, the CFA in partnership with Crawley Borough Council and Venture Play held a coaching session on the newly resurfaced Ramp at Cherry Lane Adventure Playground. 3B Ramps had worked hard to get the ramp back to its original smooth state and the gang bundled in at 1pm for a shred!

The first part of the 3 hour session played host to some expert coaching from Skate Coaches LA, James Wallace and CFA team members Sean and Lee Tilbury and Mark and Harry Phelps. First time skaters and Cherry Lane local rippers all benefited from the tips and advice from the experienced and older skaters.

During the second part of the session, the skaters were put to the test in a jam format competition on the small miniramp. Locals Matt and Daniel showed us some skills with Matt jumping into the ramp from the fence for his special move! Some CFA members came over for the session and treated us to some stunts as well as Lee, Harry and James getting rad on the bigger ramp.

Prizes from Vans and Tech Deck were awarded for best tricks and the session ended with everyone trying to get some final moves on the 4 footer. All in all, everyone had a fun session and learned some new tricks and made some new mates!
